From helping with personal care*, medication, and managing the home, through to support to accesss the community and take part in hobbies and activities, our teams are here to help.
Person-centered active support
We understand that each person accessing our service is different, with their own hopes, dreams, goals and aspirations. We work closely with the individual, their families, and any relevant professionals to build tailored packages of care and support, enabling them to live the life they want. Our flexible, individually tailored services means that we are ideally suited to supporting individuals with specialist and/or complex needs including:

-
learning disabilities
-
autistic spectrum conditions
-
mental health needs
-
physical disabilities
-
dementia

All the individual packages we design aim to provide just the right amount of care and support to facilitate the restoration, development and maintenance of personal independence. We promote an active approach to care and support, ensuring Service Users are given choice and control over decisions about their own life; from the seemingly small things like what to have for lunch, through to the big decisions. The overarching aim of all our services is to enable people with disabilities and additional needs to live fulfilling and rewarding lives, however that may look for them.
Types of care and support
At Engage Norfolk, our approach to the type of care and support we can provide to an individual is quite broad. Whilst placing services into categories such as home care, community support, companionship, supported living, etc. can be useful for administrative purposes, we believe they can often get in the way of actually supporting an individual to live a full and well rounded life.
Instead, our approach is to provide a qualified, experienced and friendly Support Worker team who can assist each individual with whichever aspects of their life they need. Our ethos is generally;
'Provided it is safe, ethical and legal to do so, our teams can support you to do it!'
Whether that is providing personal/intimate care at home*, supporting with domestic tasks and maintenance of the home, accessing social, leisure or educational opportunities, or just a friendly face and a listening ear over a coffee.
Our Lifestyles service has been designed to be flexible and adaptable to each individuals needs and circumstances, removing as many of the unnecessary artificial barriers as possible.
